Annual Board Elections this May 21st, 2024
It's that time of year again! The annual Georgia PTCO Board Elections are just around the corner. Voting will happen at the monthly regular meeting of May 21st, 2024 at 6:30pm in the GEMS school library. This year, we've added a new board position of Communications Director that needs to be filled. The description for this position is:
1. Manage the official Georgia PTCO Internet and social media presence.
2. Strengthen communication between the parents, administration, teachers and community members about PTCO events.
3. Create a quarterly newsletter.
4. Use email, phone, face-to-face, flyers and other methods to communicate with volunteers, staff, PTCO members, parents, committees and community members.
5. Make sure all publications are approved through PTCO President and Vice President and ensure that they do not use photos, names, age specifics or other identifying details without prior written consent.
6. Develop strategies to improve future communications.
In addition to Communications Director, we also have a vacancy at the Treasurer position which sorely needs filling. While current members at the other board positions (President, Vice-President, Secretary) are planning to remain, anyone can choose to run for any position on election day. You can send a letter of intent to run for any of these positions to
