May 8th to 12th is Teacher and Staff Appreciation week at GEMS. Among many other things, the Georgia PTCO is planning:
- chair massages by Kristin Trivento, certified massage therapist of Wellness Massage Center throughout the week
- flowers for all teachers' lounges provided by Mila's Flower Farm
- treat bags for all teachers put together by our hard working volunteers
- bagels and cream cheese from Huddy's Bagels on Monday morning
- a taco bar for lunch in partnership with Margot Vanscoy on Tuesday
- a catered lunch for the entire school staff in partnership with Pie in the Sky on Friday
If you'd like to show your appreciation for the work the staff has performed this school year, now's your chance!
In the past, we've collected messages from our community which we then displayed at Friday's catered lunch. This was a great way to express our appreciation, teachers LOVED browsing all the positive messages and finding familiar names. Many of them kept these printed messages and continue to display them in their classrooms to this day. We'll be doing this again this year.
For a donation of your choice, we'll have your message printed on a photo and display it at the catered lunch this Friday. We'll be accepting donations for this event until 8pm on Thursday, May 11th. If you'd like any further details, don't hesitate to
